Yes, you heard right, Sunway Lagoon is back at it again for the 7th time this year to give a truly scary experience to the patrons! 😱 And we got to witness the horrors within the event and let us tell you, this Nights of Fear, is not for the faint of heart. Beware! For fear lives here at the Night of Fright 7 at Sunway Lagoon! That’s right, hold tight to your friends and family because your deepest darkest fears will be realized at one of Sunway Lagoon’s most important events of the year! Delve into what Sunway Lagoon is going to be unleashing this year. Want to know more? Well read on friends! 😎

On the 4th of October, Friday night, we got the privilege of attending the first night of the event where all the monsters and terrifying creatures within are at their most terrifying! Armed with enthusiasm and capacity to scream, we were eager to dive into the scares as the event promised to have even scarier attractions this year. πŸ‘»

Enter At Your Own Risk!

Nights of Fright 7

With ever changing themes each year, NOF7 did not disappoint (we don’t think they ever do). With a total of 9 haunted houses, a scary theater, 2 scare zones, 2 show stages with fantastic showmanship, along with 11 amusement rides available that night, Sunway Lagoon was pulling all the stops to make this night fantastic. πŸ’€

Each haunted house had really creative and frightening themes so patrons who went, definitely wouldn’t be disappointed since there are different themes to prey on what one fears the most. πŸ‘½

Having being put into groups, we had a tour guide to graciously take us around. The first place we went was The Blood Shed (send tingles down your spine doesn’t it?). We may have thought what to expect but nope, we were wrong. If you are afraid of the dark and not knowing where you step, this will test you to your fear limits. Our blood went cold went we first entered (get it? Cos we entered the blood shed?) so one should proceed at your own risk. 😈

Get Sick with Fear

Now coming to one of the hyped themes of the night, we came to The Plague! Face masks won’t save you as the nurses that were roaming around the area, with faces riddled with disease, cautioned us before entering. We won’t reveal too much but let’s just say, we were lucky to come out alive and hopefully without any sicknesses or else we’d have to visit those frightening medieval doctors roaming around the park. πŸ™€ These strange characters, with bird-like beak masks, wander the outskirts of the village seeking to save – but are they helping…or simply feeding off of death? You be the judge – you can always trust the doctor, but beware THE PLAGUE! 😈

Beware of Sharks!

This is a haunted house with a twist as this isn’t based of a creepy folklore or myth. In fact, sharks are very real. And so are tornadoes. That’s right, they had a Sharknado haunted house! Based of a movie that had over 6 movies, this haunted house wasn’t exactly haunted by ghosts or monsters but it still gave us a good scare with clever mechanics and deceivingly innocent story telling at first (kind of our favorite for the night too)! 🦈

Set on the Hollywood sound stage of Asylum Studios Hollywood, this studio has brought you the World’s First Sharknado walk-through themed attraction. Open your jaws at all the craziness, as you wander into the devastation of Sharknado Alive! With horror/comedic themes to this, this attraction is definitely worth taking a bite at! πŸ‘

Feed Your Fear

Oooh boy were we hungry as ghost during Hungry Ghost Festival! Luckily, not only do the monsters at the event scare you and take great pictures with everyone, they are sure to feed you well. πŸ˜„ Armed with hungry stomachs and a sharp eye, we headed to the Bloody Food Street to get some grub. Many of the vendors were dressed to scare although not to scare away customers. There are plenty of great food choices like pizza, kebabs and even chicken rice so you definitely won’t go hungry. There are also interesting drinks to try as well. Like the very clever Blood Bag which is essentially cold, refreshing Ribena in a blood bag like container. Now we know why vampires like to drink red liquid. 😈

Watch in The Dark

Think you’re safe when you’re sitting down? Think again! In this immersive experience where you get to watch a short scary movie directed by the CEO of Sunway Lagoon, Lynton Harris himself, and experience more than meets the eye. Taken into a dark theater, don’t only focus on the screen and watch out for your surroundings! 😈 There just might be creatures lurking in the dark waiting to pounce! This was a great and creative experience because even though everyone is seated, one can still be scared. And because this theater experience is a Bomoh theme, don’t disregard how scary it can be. πŸ‘»

Still Dare to Enter?

Sunway Lagoon Nights of Fright 7

Overall, the experience was awesome and is a fun outing for groups of friends and family. Plenty of things to do there and see. What we really want to commend are the actors that are dressed up for event’s entertainment and truly went all out on their characters which lent to the whole scary experience. πŸ‘πŸ‘ We highly recommend interacting and taking photos with them. Don’t worry, they don’t bite (well….some don’t ;)). And if haunted houses aren’t your thing, don’t worry, they have incredibly fun rides to get on and not to mention spectacular performances by dancers in costumes held at the main stage of the park. Come along for the screams and you won’t regret it. πŸ™ŒπŸŒŸ

Ticket prices are priced at RM79 per entry with an addition of a blood bag or devil horn (your choice) with your purchase of ticket. But if you get the RM158 ticket, you get to enjoy a blood bag and get into the express lane.
