It’s very normal for a woman to always want to look beautiful, but beauty is so subjective! We see it all the time with fashion and/or beauty trends: you pass by a person and think huh? Why she wear like that? Nice meh? but clearly, the person wearing it is feeling really good about it. Or maybe you tell your friend “look, that unicorn hairband is soooo cute!” but your friend does not agree with you. 😅
Also, women do plenty of things to ensure that they look beautiful, which could be something as simple as a skincare routine to something as elaborate as going under the knife for modifications. There’s that, and there’s also several “beauty trends” that women have tried out in an effort to look beautiful. We tried really hard to see the beauty in it, but perhaps we’re not ah… artistic enough to discover the beauty. 😂

Garden Eyebrows
When we heard of “natural beauty”, this really wasn’t what we had in mind. With flowers literally blooming from your eyebrows, it looks like you’re embracing nature in all its glory. We’ll say this though: garden eyebrows are perfect if you’re cosplaying a fairy, or maybe attending some over-the-top tea party in a garden. But okay, we admit that this could be really pretty and ethereal, when styled for a suitable situation. 😁

Halo Brows
To be an angel, you must first have a halo. If you don’t have a halo, create your own with your brows! That’s right, for an angelic look, all you have to do is loop your eyebrow together in a halo on your forehead. It’s also known as a “reverse unibrow”, but halo brows sound much nicer if you’re going for the look regardless. We tried to discover the beauty in this look, but we think we still prefer a standard arched brow though, thank you. 🙏

Nude Eyelashes
There’s the nude lip, and also nude palettes for eyeshadows. Now, apparently we can take it a step further by creating nude eyelashes. We’re not sure what kind of an effect this was supposed to create – it looks like the eye now has no eyelashes? Anyway, it is what it is, and you don’t have to buy a new product for this either. Just use a nude liquid lippie on your lashes and you’re good to go. 😆

Nose Hair Extension
*swears* it just looks like spiders crawling out of your nose, so we really don’t get why anyone would go for this look at all. Yes, we are aware that more women everywhere are embracing their natural body hair, but no one said anything about extending them? Especially by glueing falsies up your nostrils? Why? Just why? We have so many questions! 🤨

Rainbow Teeth
You know, the term “pearly whites” could very soon be a thing of the past with the introduction of rainbow teeth. Why polish and shine your teeth to a glossy white if you can rainbow teeth, right? We’ll pass, actually. Though, if you like colours, you could match your teeth colour to your makeup, outfits, your latest mani… the possibilities are endless. You could get tooth polish to accomplish this if you’re interested. 😁

Glitter Boobs/Butt
If Malaysia allowed it, would you? It is what it is – all you do is liberally glitter-fy your chest and your butt, and bejewel and bedazzle it if you like, and… head out. Actual clothing made from fabric totally optional. Marie Claire aptly called it “asshion” and we totally agree, after we’ve also laughed our own asses off at the term. We highly do not recommend it during winter time though, if you plan to try it out. Also how do you sit on a bedazzled butt? 🤔

Comb Nails
No comb, no problem! Why use a comb when you can use your nails? No, we do not mean fingers as in finger-combing the hair. Comb nails have your nails shaped like miniature combs, so they technically could be functional too. One comb for one nail, and you have ten! Maybe we can accept this trend as it’s functional, but does it really work at combing your hair? Maybe you can try and let us know! 😂

Again, what a perfect example of going back to nature, because why wouldn’t you want a bunch of flowers sticking out of your head like it should always have been, right? To create this look, you will need an empty plastic bottle. Place empty bottle on head, wrap hair around it, and secure with elastic bands. Tuck stray strands into the mouth of the bottle and get some flowers ready. Once your flowers are in, you’re ready. 😊

Sculpture Makeup
If you haven’t noticed, people have been freaking out about girls (mostly from China) removing their makeup and literally transforming into what seems like a totally different person. Not scary at all. To achieve their made-up look, these girls go above and beyond the call of “normal” makeup duty, choosing to use jaw tape and prosthetic makeup – just watch a video of a girl scraping stuff off her nose and you’ll get it. Like girl… our skin needs to breathe! 🤗

Oh finally, thank goodness. This is one beauty trend that we sincerely appreciate! The bare face trend literally means that women are rocking what God gave them, without any enhancement from makeup products.
